Anyone setup a blog on Apache?

If so, did you go homegrown or use a download?

I am thinking of starting to blog using my server at home, and am just trying to figure out the best place to start.
I am pretty confident with PHP and mySql so if anyone is aware of something I can use to get me going, that would be great!

Use Moveable Type, but that is more of a Apache/Perl/other components product.

There are lots of PHP-based blogging projects. A group I know uses PostNuke, I believe. They seem to really love the way it works for them. The style of the home page is just like a blog.

I moderate http://www.freeasinspeechandbeer.com/ and work with the author (of the book of the same name) on a lot of stuff. We use PostNuke almost ALL the time. To date, I have no idea how many PostNuke blogs we've spawned in the University. :)

How's your PHP?

And I just finally found the author on this network....he's been here the whole time....possibly even a member of this tribe.

There you go D-man...promoting the BOOK and POSTNUKE! :)
