      <description>whoa.  apache 2 certainly will serve files greater than 255 bytes, but you already knew that.  you're is broken and i have never heard of this before (doesn't mean) it's not common.&#xD;

sometimes posting to the apache users list is helpful, but when you post there, put more of a description.&#xD;

      <description>I've reverted back to Apache 1.3x and it works fine.  Apache 2 just won't work for the life of me!</description>
