Anybody have experience implementing a version control system to handle a live website in conjunction with Apache 2? Specifically, I want to be able to set up a repository containing the document root of the site, and be able to serve documents from that repository. I was hoping to achieve this with Subversion (http://subversion.tigris.org) but was dismayed to discover that it doesn't play as nicely with alternate document handlers (specifically PHP) as the standard WebDAV module. Any suggestions?
